Okay, so #4 isn't feasible because specifying og:image would preempt image
selection.

#2: I understand that setting opacity: 0 with background-image is acceptable as
a replacement for (incomplete) @alt attributes on <img> tags. [1]

#3: We may need some help with obtaining a Wikipedia image with a similar
