       Web browser: ---
            Bug ID: 60396
Summary: Echo doesn't link to the correct section if there are
                    duplicate section headings
           Product: MediaWiki extensions
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Echo
          Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
          Reporter: stradb...@gmail.com
                CC: agarr...@wikimedia.org, bs...@wikimedia.org,
                    legoktm.wikipe...@gmail.com, oke...@wikimedia.org,
                    pandiculat...@gmail.com
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

I just navigated to ptwiki for the first time in a while (maybe the first time
ever), and I found I had a notification. The bolded link led to this URL:

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usu%C3%A1rio%28a%29_Discuss%C3%A3o:Mosca#wikEd_translation

I'm not mentioned there. I am, however, mentioned in a section further down the
page with an identical section heading:

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usu%C3%A1rio%28a%29_Discuss%C3%A3o:Mosca#wikEd_translation_2

I assume that at the moment Echo is not checking for duplicate headings when
making notification URLs. If Echo could check for this somehow it may stop
users from getting confused by notification links that point to the wrong
section.
