Thanks! Also, I've just found a way to at least recover any information that
may be in the damaged course:

1. Go to Special:Courses page and using the controls there, delete the course
with no name.
2. You should now be able to undelete the course normally.

Even so, the recovered course will be unusable, because the same problem will
occur next time someone tries to edit it. So you should still create a new
course to replace it, this time with the term, then re-delete the damaged
course by again performing the first step mentioned above (once you've copied
all the information you need from it).
