            Bug ID: 64690
Summary: Broken anchor links open in browser and redirect to
                    wikipedia.org landing page
           Product: Wikipedia App
           Version: Android (alpha)
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Generic
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

If an article has abbreviated anchor links, such as [[#foo]] in the article
"bar", but there is no corresponding anchor (typically because the sections
were retitled after that link was added), then on desktop the link simply
points to the page itself; that link is equivalent to [[bar#foo]].

In the app, by contrast, tapping it will open the browser, with a link like
this: http://www.wikipedia.org/#foo

Right now, you can see a live example of this in the links in this table:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Ninjago:_Masters_of_Spinjitzu#Episodes

I also set up an instance here:
