Attribute names and values should not be changed once saved.
Currently, dropdown lists may show a different choice of names and values from
the saved versions. They are choosen from the same syntrans, and arguably
should thus be sysnonymes, but:
(a) this may be not so due to errors,
(b) some synonymes or near synonymes may be rarely used and just not the words
customarily found in literature, etc.,
(c) having them changed bewilders editors,
(d) as an economy of programming, only one algorithm should exist covering both
use cases.
