Please enable VisualEditor as a Beta Feature on Wikimedia Commons, not enabled
by default.
Beta features are (as far as I know) completely harmless so I do not think a
community discussion is necessary but I would be happy to start one if
necessary.
I will post a heads-up on this on Wikimedia Commons village pump.
