            Bug ID: 65412
           Summary: wgBackendResponseTime means what?
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.24-git
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: General/Unknown
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

Once upon a time there was MediaWiki were information were expressive enough so
that one would not need to consult a wiki itself.

In earlier versions of MW one could find a note about the page loading "<!--
Served in 1.849 secs. -->" but since MW 1.24 this is no longer for some reason
and is replaced by cryptic "<script>if(window.mw){
mw.config.set({"wgBackendResponseTime":2097});
}</script>" inclusion.

I assume wgBackendResponseTime is measured in sec which is not clear because it
doesn't say so where in previous versions it was clear (and expressive enough)
as to what is displayed.

If you have to make things harder for people at least make it expressive enough
"wgBackendResponseTimeInSeconds" and don't let the user wild guessing what the
numbers are about.
