            Bug ID: 66175
Summary: Hard to type in email box on Bugzilla's new user page
                    on Android
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Smartphone
                OS: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: General/Unknown
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

The new user page https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/createaccount.cgi contains a
plain field for the user to enter their email address. On Android, all
auto-correction features are enabled for this type of field, which means that
the user has to fight the autocorrect while they type.
Changing the type to email < input type="email" > would switch off the
auto-correction and even makes it easier to type @ in the address. iOS also
supports it. It shouldn't affect other browsers that don't support it, since
they should ignore unknown types.
