This is surely also a result of erroneous usage of the extension on the wiki
but probably it will be good to have a peep at the code, too. Wikimedia project
will most probably also be affected. Pre-bug talk is at [1].
This happens on MW 1.21.x and MW 1.22.x with PHP 5.3.3
