Bug ID: 67146 Summary: Do not add image presentation to browsing history Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Unprioritized Component: MultimediaViewer Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org Reporter: fur.hew...@gmail.com CC: aarcos.w...@gmail.com, fflo...@wikimedia.org, gti...@wikimedia.org, mtrac...@member.fsf.org Web browser: --- Mobile Platform: --- Currently, when clicking an image, mediaviewer modifies the address line of the browser. When closing mediaviewer by clicking the "X", it modifies the address line again. This behavior causes all the image display states to be added to browser history, so repeatedly pressing "back" after viewing images will go through all the images viewed before eventually getting to the real "back". This behavior is non-standard, unexpected, and differ from mediawiki behavior WRT ogg files: e.g. in this page: [[fr:1907_en_aƩronautique]], pressing the video starts to play it in an overlay window, much like mediaviewer shows still images. Pressing the "X" of the overlay closes the video, without adding anything to browsing history, so pressing "back" after watching and closing videos, really takes you back. I believe this is the expected and correct behavior mediaviewer should adopt. peace. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
