I wanted a bit of time to go by before digging into the data, since deletion doesn't always happen immediately post upload -- I can run some stats on uploads & deletions from before and after the change went live and share with you. Keep in mind, however, that we recently (since June 17) began redirecting users on tablets to the mobile site (they'd previously been going to the desktop site), which appears to have increased the number of new mobile editors and uploaders, so while the ratio of good-to-bad uploads may have changed, the absolute numbers of both have probably gone up.
