--- Comment #57 from Maryana Pinchuk <[email protected]> --- I just took a look at the deletion stats -- while the autoconfirmed change did decrease the total number of uploads coming from the in-article upload button, as opposed to the Uploads menu item in the site navigation menu (in-article uploads dropped to 25% of all mobile web uploads, whereas they had previously accounted for 50%), the overall deletion rate doesn't look to have been affected: 66% of images uploaded from mobile web in the 3 days pre and post autoconfirmed change have since been deleted. Since it's been over 2 weeks since the change went live, and since these images tend to be fairly stringently scrutinized by the Commons community, it's pretty safe to say that's probably the majority of the egregious violators. (So, Steinsplitter, I don't think the 80% junk rate you quote above is entirely accurate.)
