            Bug ID: 67933
Summary: VisualEditor: In [[Pristina International Airport]]
the backspace key makes the cursor jump further back
           Product: VisualEditor
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: ContentEditable
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected],
                    [email protected]
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

I couldn't reproduce this in any other article, but it may happen elsewhere:

1. Edit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pristina_International_Airport (I tested
in this version:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pristina_International_Airport&oldid=615886404
).

2. Put the caret in the first paragraph, in the word "handles".

3. Press Backspace.

Expected: The caret moves one character and deletes it.
Observed: The caret deletes one character before it, but moves back 26
characers to the beginning of the word "international".

Happened to me in Firefox and Chrome on Fedora.
