I can confirm that 50 revisions takes a little longer to download than 5
revisions when I set the link conditioner to emulate a slow EDGE network. We
can't eliminate the basic request latency, but requesting a smaller chunk at
first should noticeably speed it up on slow connections by returning data a
little faster.

Filed loading on demand as bug 68055, which'll make it easy to make the first
request small.
