Summary: SimpleSearch doesn't allow adding more text to a
                    suggestion
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Vector Skin
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

SimpleSearch is deployed in test.wikipedia.org and prototype.wikimedia.org now.

I tried using it to get to "Special:PrefixIndex/A". I typed "Special:Pre",
expecting the box to complete it to "Special:PrefixIndex". The box suggested
Preferences, PrefixIndex, PrefStats and PrefSwitch, which is OK.

Then i tried to use the arrow keys to select "Special:PrefixIndex". It's
possible to select it, but the text in the search box itself remained
"Special:Pre". It seems that in SimpleSearch it is only possible to press Enter
on the selected suggestion and then a search would be immediately run.

In Monobook the text in the search box itself changes to the selected
suggestion and then i can add more text to it. This is regular and useful
behavior and i hope that SimpleSearch would work this way, too.
