It will hurt small Wikis... Oh, not only small wikis will be hurt - ALL languages will be hurt, even big languages like French and German. Having just a tiny button with "Languages" instead of the entire thing makes all languages invisible, and fewer people will notice that there are articles in other languages at all, let alone articles in their own language.
