Summary: un/folding status of the sidebar is not remembered correctly Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: Vector Skin AssignedTo: tpars...@wikimedia.org ReportedBy: amir.ahar...@mail.huji.ac.il The un/folding status of Interaction, Toolbars and Languages in the sidebar is supposed to be remembered using a cookie. In fact it appears to be random. I want all of them open, because i use all all the links all the time, but they fold randomly when i move between articles. It also makes me think - why a cookie and not a preference? Using a preference is impossible for anonymous users, but if user who has an account opens it on a different computer and sees his sidebar not the way he's used to, it's quite confusing. While you think about fixing this, think about [[bug 23497]], too - remember that it's more important to show the links than to hide them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
