There is one reason to be cautiously optimistic though. Typically, mobile web deletions outstrip mobile app deletions by at least a 10:1 margin. So far for July, mobile app deletions actually exceed mobile web deletions: http://mobile-reportcard.wmflabs.org/graphs/deleted-uploads Of course it's possible this is due to app uploads skyrocketing for some reason, but there haven't been any significant changes on the app side, so I doubt that's the case.
