Realistically, this is low priority, as in having little chance of being picked

There wasn't any such discussion, only some "private" grumbling by people
dissatisfied with its usage on mediawiki.org etc. However, I've added some
considerations to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Flagged_Revisions#Results , I
think it's about time everyone who has knowledge on the matter writes it down.
