Cary Bass <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED CC| |[email protected] Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #11 from Cary Bass <[email protected]> 2010-06-01 17:29:31 UTC --- >From a privacy concern standpoint, I tend to follow the point of view that logged-out users have the same consideration on an email form as they would on an edit--that their IP address is available no matter what. Therefore I don't see the point of having the checkbox available to logged-out users. I would, however, suggest that the checkbox be available to logged-in users, and have the "send my IP address" unchecked by default, giving a logged-in user the option to send their IP address. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
