            Bug ID: 69571
Summary: Dynamic Parameters in Feed URLs
           Product: MediaWiki extensions
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: RSS

Hi, as already mentioned in the first thread on
[https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:RSS#x.5BWONTFIX.3B_WORKSFORME.3B_SPECIAL_USER_ISSUE.5D_RSS_does_not_accept_results_of_Semantic_Mediawiki_query_19384
Extension:RSS Talk Page] it would be extremely nice to have this extension
accept dynamic parameters (Templates, Parser-Functions, SMW Queries, Magic
Words etc..) as part of the Feed address. Imagine a feed url for library
catalogue like

http://portal.kobv.de/feed.do?feedFormat=rss_2.0&feedType=simple_search&query=jobs&numItems=100&plv=2

where the parameter query value "jobs" could be change dynamically depending if
I am on a page dealing with "Jobs" or a page dealing with "Gates". Currently
the extension throws

"Error: Not a valid URL" (using a SMW Query)

"Error parsing XML for RSS" (using a template)

(MW MediaWiki 1.22.3, Extension RSS 2.24)

Thanks
Karsten
