Span elements with data-mw and data-parsoid are getting lost when parsed by
LinearDoc.js. This happens in the case spans contains empty or just new line.
This cause inconsistent behavior while handling templates at client side.
Steps to reproduce
http://parsoid.wmflabs.org/eswiki/Bangalore?oldid=75955225 has the infobox
table and its associated span with about=#mwt3
But http://cxserver.wmflabs.org/page/es/Bangalore does not have a span with
about=#mwt3
