Bug ID: 70361
Summary: Transcluded data not updated when original section is
(data is not "live")
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: REL1_23 branch
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: LabeledSectionTransclusion
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Web browser: ---
Mobile Platform: ---
I've got a page that lists a selection of page sections common to servers - IP
Address, domain, and so on
The transclusion lines are part of a table and look like this
|-
|[[CHAOS]]
|{{#lsth:CHAOS|IP Address}}
|{{#lsth:CHAOS|FQDN}}
|{{#lsth:CHAOS|Domain}}
|{{#lsth:CHAOS|Brief Notes}}
|-
and appear with data transcluded in them.
However if I update the information on the "CHAOS" page in the section "IP
Address" and save it I see no corresponding change in transcluded data.
Only if I edit the page and then save it (with no changes) does the updated "IP
Address" section data get re-transcluded.
The mediawiki-bundled transclusion indicates it is "live" (e.g., tranclusion
occurs on page load) but I see no such claim on the LabeledSectionTransclusion
documentation. As it is this makes the extension much less valuable because it
appears to only transclude as part of page save. Is this intentional?
Thank you for your time!
-Mike
