1> open a blank page in VE, open the Language inspector.
2> Now click anywhere in the Editor, the inspector stays open but the language
style text drop-down selection turns blank. After that any selection you make,
it continues to stay blank. And if you type in any text, a pawn gets inserted
beside the text. See screenshots.
