Random insertion of link in Content Translation interface
Description:
The scenario is when the user adds a translation using the +Add Translation
option in the Translation column, and clicks on a link in the Source column for
which corresponding link cards in both languages are displayed. If the user
clicks the +Add Link option in the link cards section without specifying any
cursor position, then text in the target language along with the link is placed
at a random location somewhere on the interface.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to
http://cx.wmflabs.org/index.php?title=Special:ContentTranslation&page=Barcelona&from=en&to=bn&targettitle=
(needs login)
2. Use '+Add Translation' to copy the first paragraph
3. DO NOT click on the Translation column i.e. the Translation column should
not have an active cursor position
4. Click on the link for 'London' in the Source Column. The Link cards should
display the link to the article in en and bn Wikipedia
5. Click on the +Add Link option
Actual Behaviour:
A link for London from the bn Wikipedia is inserted between the section heading
and the first paragraph . (See attachments)
Expected Behaviour:
It is expected that precise cursor placement will be defined when this
development story is addressed:
https://wikimedia.mingle.thoughtworks.com/projects/language_engineering/cards/4442
Until that happens, this random addition of links has to be handled and
prevented.
