MediaWiki.org should be a client of Wikidata.org, and have access to interwiki
links and data access.
Use cases:
* [[mw:Template:Tracked]] should link to [[Template:Tracked]]
* Convert things like [[mw:Template:Extension]] to use structured data through
Wikidata properties
** That data could then be used by Extension:ExtensionDistributor, among other
things

https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg03534.html was a
brief discussion about it, Denny recommended using SMW, however that has
previously been WONTFIXED.
