            Bug ID: 71728
Summary: VisualEditor: Copying text causes Safari to scroll to
the top of the page and move the cursor to the top
           Product: VisualEditor
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: ContentEditable
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected],
                    [email protected], [email protected]
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a long page in Safari 6.2 (maybe others?)

2. Scroll down a ways and select some text.

3. Copy (Command-C) that text.

Results:

After a brief delay (one second?), the page scrolls all the way to the top.
The cursor is located at the very beginning of the page. (The text is
correctly copied.)
