           Summary: Define new "magic word" {{FILENAMEWITHOUTEXTENSION}}
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
               URL: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#Page_na
                    mes
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: General/Unknown
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Similar to other page name related "magic words", it would be useful to have
one that uses just the filename without the extension, e.g.:

For "File:abc.jpg" the magic word "{{FILENAMEWITHOUTEXTENSION}}" would display
"abc". Obviously, ".jpg", ".jpeg", ".JPEG", ".JPG" .. would give the same
result.

People using descriptive filenames could more easily use
{{subst:FILENAMEWITHOUTEXTENSION}} as description.

Maybe there is a better name for the magic word, but "without ext(ension)"
should be easily understood.
