This very inconvenient behaviour is an effect of using the short-cut in
entityview to first disable all view widgets when starting a widget's edit mode
and then re-enabling the particular widget that is being edited. When the label
(same applies for description) is empty, an empty input box is displayed. When
typing the first character, edit mode is started, state is changed to
"disabled" an reset to "enabled" with IE removing focus when disabling.
For consistency and performance, the described "short-cut" should be removed
anyway. The widget edit mode is triggered for should not get disabled and
re-enabled instantly, but remain enabled.
