Summary: Nested tags without space before them don't work
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.16-svn
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: Page rendering
        AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
        ReportedBy: gsv...@gmail.com

When a tag is nested inside another tag with the same name and the second
instance is not preceded by a whitespace, the tag is incorrectly ended there in
the rendered HTML:

<tt>outer <tt>inner</tt></tt>

is rendered correctly as

<tt>outer <tt>inner</tt></tt>

Whereas

<tt>outer<tt>inner</tt></tt>

is rendered as

<tt>outer</tt>inner

The same issue is present with other formatting tags, such as <b>, <i> and
<em>.
