Summary: Consider using googleon/googleoff tags for certain
elements of the HTML output
Product: MediaWiki
Version: 1.18-svn
Platform: All
URL: http://code.google.com/apis/searchappliance/documentat
ion/46/admin_crawl/Preparing.html#pagepart
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Normal
Component: Page rendering
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
I believe it's worth consideration to remove certain elements from the Google
indexing. This can be done with the <!--googleoff--> and <!--googleon--> tags.
I have already noticed editsection links or the jump to links within the Google
text, which are quite useless there.
