I think this relates to string escaping in MediaWiki that is not handled
properly by SMW (any more). Apparently, something changed, and symbols like <
end up as &lt; which they did not do before. The concept query answering should
be fixed ASAP, and I set the priority accordingly.

The problem is that a change in the escaping behaviour may affect older MW
systems, if the issue really was introduced by a change in MW escaping order
(and not just by SMW-internal changes). But if in doubt, recent versions of MW
should be preferred over older ones.
