During installation of the 1.17 beta, I checked the "subscribe me to
mediawiki-announce" checkbox but did not enter an email address. I hit the
Next button.
I expected an error that would force me back to the Name page, telling me that
if I want to subscribe to mediawiki-announce, I needed to enter an email
address.
Instead, the installation progressed, to the Options page (if I had the "ask me
more questions" radio button selected) or to Install (if I had "install it now"
selected).
