Btw, I was thinking.. Maybe it is possible to (temporarily) redirect the missing wiki page (<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_missing_site_template>) through PHP's header() or an HTML meta refresh. (This would require some PHP to make xyz.wikiproject.org go to incubator:Wx/xyz but that's easier than Apache config.)
