--- Comment #12 from Siebrand <[email protected]> 2011-10-11 21:22:35 UTC --- We're currently working on getting Translate's Page Translation feature active on meta. We hope it will be there in the next few hours. I just trained Jon Harald Soby and Peter Gehres. Configuration details are at http://etherpad.wikimedia.org/translate for engineering. Some details in words: * everyone will have translator rights * there is a group called translation coordinators that can make pages translatable (or untranslatable again) * no translation services like Translation Memory or Machine Translation (Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Apertium) will be available. Main reason is that the apaches cannot make calls to the outside, and there may be licensing issues with the content providers. * Translations will be stored in a separate namespace (1198 for now) * Translation in English itself is disabled * Some special pages in the Translate extension are disabled, namely FirstSteps (translatewiki.net specific user registration page), ManageMessageGroups (only needed when file based message groups are used), ImportTranslations (no offline translation mode is supported), TranslationStats (graph creation disabled). More later. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
