TASK DESCRIPTION
Before we get into the details of how we implement structured licensing, we need to see Commons and Wikimedia community opinions about some potential directions. This will influence future conversations around implementation, in upload, presentation, and reuse.
Three potential directions:
- Take the status quo and model it. This allows for extensive license modification, which restricts the effectiveness of structure.
- Adopt a structured license selection process (like [http://rightsstatements.org|rightssstatement.org]. This allows for very effective licensing selection, presentation, and reuse, but limits potential licensing variations.
- Something else?
I'll start an opinion-gathering process.
