Thanks again to @Anomie for the profiler details. The fixes made by @thiemowmde could help to reduce the computing time of the Wikibase related calls from former 5000 ms to 900 ms now. I agree with thiemowmde to investigate further improvements in frame of T182147.
I propose to separate the problem of expensive parser-function calls to another task. Most of these calls are made to create the Kartographer <maplink> extension tags. That's why I created the task T189769. From my point of view this seems to be the best way to prevent expensive parser-function calls.
We can close this task if you agree with the separation of the Kartographer calls.
