TASK DESCRIPTION The SiteStore and SiteList classes were designed to replace the old Interwiki facility with a more flexible model of remote sites. However, for big wiki families like the Wikimedia cluster, accessing the SiteList has performance implications: fetching serialized records for 800 wikis from memcached is slow if done on every page view. This tracking ticket is intended to collect issues and solutions related to SiteStore and SiteList performance.
