So the on server caching has reduced the traffic fairly dramatically, although the key is still used lots / the data transfer is expensive.
It looks like the traffic for the cache key has halved, which should be fine for now.
I think this can leave the #wikidata-campsite-iteration-∞ but will remain open on the #wikidata board as this issue will just continue to grow as the number of properties increases and also as the number of app servers increases.
