We have quantity normalization, but here's a problem: exchange rates fluctuate a lot. Even if we implement it as a service - do we have up-to-date enough data to convert currencies? I checked some:

https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q81893 - has conversion rates from Feb 2018, referenced
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q177882 - has conversion to USD that is from 2016 and unreferenced
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q130498 - no convert factors
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q41044 - has conversion to USD from 2017
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q25344 - has conversion rates to USD from May/Jone 2018, unsourced

I'm not sure how useful would be information with this level of consistence - if you convert from Q177882 to Q41044, can you trust the result?
