I think stack traces are more of an issue in PHP because there they include function call parameters? In Java, that’s not the case.

As a user of the query service, the stack trace is occasionally useful to me to find out what’s wrong, and how I can work around it; for example, the other day I was running into exceptions that were reported as timeouts, but were actually MWAPI problems.

That said, @Mvolz’ suggestion would certainly make the output for the most common exception more user friendly…
