I think historic revisions and languages that are no longer valid / existing in the wikibase codebase / enabled on wikdata should have the same behavior as statements or even wikitext links to pages or entities that no longer exist. The same should probably apply for terms in a finger print, we just need to define a uniform way to display terms in a lang that are no longer supported.
