  It's dying with an error about missing objects. Somehow the shallow clone is 
trying to fetch some object that doesn't exist in the repo and I haven't been 
able to make sense of why.  The object actually does not exist when I check on 
the server directly and I don't know how git builds the list of objects to 
fetch for a shallow clone.
