As in "even if a user searches for 600QIDs and finds 450 mismatches we only show 50 results without pagination?" If so, I think it is a bit counterintuitive and my take would rather be to go with matching the number of results with the limit of QIDs that you can add as in "you can search for 100QIDs at the time and we display 100 results whether there mismatches or not" until we do pagination. Then it's a different story.
