daniel added a comment. @Smalyshev We can decide to me more or less strict for calendar models we know well, but there will //always// be the possibility of "bad" dates, since for some calendar models, we don't even know how to validate. They may not even be strictly defined. So, conceptually, we can have all kinds and shapes of dates, some of which we can convert to canonical ISO. Others we can't. I don't see any problem there. Whether we allow or reject Februrary 32 is a product level decision with no impact on the data model or data mapping.
