When I would just simple remove p: and v: then US_presidents_and_spouses <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikibase/Indexing/SPARQL_Query_Examples#US_presidents_and_spouses> will break. There is some magic within the template (p=1) that the GUI doesn't see, because it parses the wikitext. We should clearly define what the expected behavior should be. One solution might be adapting GUI to understand all the templates parameters. Right now it always is adding all the standard prefixes.
