TASK DESCRIPTION

Even trivial use of BIND to assign a name to some constant causes query performance to degrade. Queries without the BIND are about 8x faster for the below example:

<Alphos> by the way, in quite a few examples, there are BIND clauses that are plain unnecessary. instead of http://tinyurl.com/hnb226m (12170 ms), why not replace the bound values where needed ? http://tinyurl.com/zgvywop (same results, 1656 ms)

(Reported by Alphos on #wikidata)

The problem is perhaps caused by this BlazeGraph bug: Strategies for VALUES+BIND queries
