I've seen this happen and I can reproduce it fine with the query in the description.
You need a query with lots of fields, like the one in the description. It needs to be enough to make the results table wider than your screen.
If you can get all the columns on the screen at once, make your browser window smaller.
If it displays the results as a vertical list of fields instead of having a column for each field, resizing the browser window and resizing it back seems to make it switch back to columns.
Since the table is wider than the screen, there should be a horizontal scroll bar.
In this case, there is one, but it is only visible once you get to the bottom of the page. The expected behaviour is that the horizontal scroll bar is visible no matter how far down the page you are.
