It should quickly display results and act resource friendly.
Hmm I'm not sure whether this is really possible in generic case. Surely, in some cases LIMIT and such would work, but if you have complex query or ORDER BY or DISTINCT clauses, even showing 1 result may be time-consuming. It'd be nice to specify which queries we're talking about here.
