This is probably a symptom and not a cause, but I wanted to comment it anyway in case it was interesting:
There seems to be higher than usual hhvm exceptions:

Most of those, at least the ones that are known, seem to be coming from the job queue, ChangeNotification and RefreshLinks, among others. They possibly are getting better lately.
